Multiplying fractions--the area model

Move the points on the sliders to change the numerators and denominators of the first (N1/D1) and second (N2/D2) factors.

The yellow square is the unit of area (one square unit).

The area of the green rectangle is the product of the fractions.

For more control over size and views, zoom in or out as necessary: pull down the small triangle on the last button on the right to get the menu. Go back to the selection arrow (left button) to adjust sliders again.
